Acerca del evento
Kambo is a traditional medicine derived from the skin secretions of the giant monkey tree frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor), native to the Amazon rainforest. Indigenous tribes like the Matsés, Katukina, and Yawanawá have used it for centuries, often before hunts or as part of cleansing rituals
The secretion contains a complex blend of bioactive peptides and proteins, including opioid peptides (dermorphin, deltorphin), vasodilators (sauvagine, phyllokinin), antimicrobial agents (dermaseptin), and other compounds
In practice, during a Kambo ceremony, small burn marks are made on the skin (often on the arm or leg), and the frog secretion is applied directly—producing an intense, fast-acting reaction
Practitioners and proponents often claim Kambo offers benefits across multiple dimensions:
Physical / Medical:
Detoxification and immune system support.
Pain relief and reduced inflammation.
Improved circulation and potential antimicrobial effects .
Mental / Emotional:
Enhanced mental clarity, emotional release, mood elevation.
Support for anxiety, depression, and addiction through catharsis and neurological reset .
Spiritual / Energetic:
Ritual use for clearing negative energies (“panema”), cultivating spiritual growth, connection to self and nature, and promoting transformation and personal evolution
